Sindh governor to open fun gala tomorrow

KARACHI:Sindh Governor Imran Ismail will inaugurate a one-day fun gala at a prominent amusement park of Karachi on January 23, 2020 to entertain around 1600 orphan students enrolled in over 150 charitable schools in Sindh under an educational network being run by the non-profit Green Crescent Trust (GCT).

GCT CEO Zahid Saeed said that the Orphan Fun Gala would be held at a leading amusement park of Karachi where the orphan students of the GCT schools hailing from different towns of Sindh would get unrestricted access to the park’s joy rides on a day-long basis.

Eminent businessmen and industrialists of the city will also attend the event to reiterate their resolve to support the GCT’s charitable drive to enroll 4.2 million out-of-school children in Sindh. Patron-in-chief of GCT Sardar Yasin Malik, renowned industrialist SM Muneer, and other prominent philanthropists of the city will be the guests of honour on the occasion.

After Karachi’s event on January 23rd, similar fun gala for orphan students of the GCT’s schools will also be held in Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Umerkot later this month. The GCT CEO said that his charitable trust with the support of its donors had been outstandingly facilitating the lives of orphan students enrolled in its network of charitable schools located in remote and rural parts of Sindh having a total enrollment of 29,000 students.

It is worth mentioning here that recently the GCT joined hands with Arts Council Karachi to celebrate the silver jubilee of its foundation by organizing a Children’s Carnival and Inter-School Competition at the Arts Council’s premises.
