Karachi:Pak Currency XI overpowered Suparco Paints by four wickets and recorded their first victory after a thrilling encounter in 23rd Dr. MA Shah Trophy here at Asghar Ali Shah Stadium.
Suparco Paints batted first and put on board 163-9 in 20 overs. Junaid Ali batted well for the side scoring 73 off only 49 balls. Iftikhar Ahmed bowled lethally and picked four wickets for 26 runs.
In response, Pak Currency achieved the target with four wickets in hand in 19.4 overs. Iftikhar Ahmed batted well for the side scoring unbeaten 46 off 31 balls. Tariq Haroon contributed 40 off only 22 balls.
