Sports: Cricket: Saim stars in Sindh U-16 victory

Karachi: Saim Ayub played a whirl-wind 106-run knock off 62 balls and helped his team Sindh U-16 record a convincing 74-run victory against Federal Capital in PEPSI-PCB U-16 Pentangular T-20 Tournament 2018 on Tuesday at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

Sindh U-16 batted first and put on board a competitive total of 178-9 in 20 overs – thanks to Saim Ayub. Mohammad Yasir, Zaman Khan and Hasan Abid Kiani picked two wickets each.

In its turn, Federal Capital U-16 scored 104 runs before losing all of its wickets in 19.4 overs. Yousaf Shah top scored for the side with 34 runs. Mubashir Nawaz, Adeel Meo, Kashif Ali and Ibrar Khan took two wickets each.

In another match played at LCCA Ground, Punjab U-16 defeated KPK U-16 by three wickets despite an impressive and unbeaten 63-run knock off 32 balls from KPK’s Adnan Akbar.
