Sports: Cricket: Zone VI beat Zone II, Zone III in U-19 One Day Cricket Tourney

Karachi: Zone VI first overpowered Zone II by 26 runs and later thrashed Zone III by 8 wickets in the Regional Inter District U-19 One Day Cricket Tournament.

At TMC ground, Zone VI batted first and put on board 214 runs before losing all of their wickets in 48.5 overs. Mohammad Usman Rahim batted well for the side scoring 70 runs. Waqas Khan and Nadir Shah picked three wickets each.

In reply, Zone II scored 188 runs before losing all of their wickets in 47.1 overs. Mohammad Sufiyan top scored for the side with 50 runs. Muaz bin Salman picked four wickets while Tariq Khan and Mohammad Mustafa took three wickets each for the winners.

At KCCA Stadium, Zone VI restricted Zone III to a paltry total of 70 runs bundling them out in 24.3 overs. Mohammad Mustafa captured a five-wicket haul. Zone-VI in response easily reached the target in 8.2 overs with eight wickets in hands.
