Sports: Football: Ashfaq Hussain Shah elected as new PFF President

Karachi:Ashfaq Hussain Shah has replaced controversial Faisal Saleh Hayat as the President of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) after he has been elected during the federation’s elections on Wednesday in Islamabad.

Shah, who has been the District Football Association (DFA) Peshawar President, received 17 votes out of a total of 20. His competitor Anwarul Haq received only three votes.

Meanwhile, National Assembly member Amir Dogar, Sardar Naveed Haider and Zahir Ali Shah have been elected vice presidents.

The elections of the federation were held after Supreme Court ordered it hold fresh elections. The election took place at the Supreme Court in Islamabad.

Meanwhile, the elections for the three women’s seat were won by Farzana Rauf, Javeria Zafar and Tasawwur Aziz.
