Sri Lanka’s CG calls on Sindh governor

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Imran Ismail said Monday that there was an urgent need for enhancement of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in every field as the same would be beneficial for their economies.

This he said while talking to Consul General of Sri Lanka GL Gnanatheva who called on him at Governor House here today. Matters pertaining to bilateral relations, enhancement of economic corporation, conducive investment environment in financial hub of the country and topics of common interests came under discussion during the meeting.

The Sindh governorsaid that PakSri Lanka relations are spanning over many decades. The Cricket teams of both the countries have a prominent place in world cricket and their spectators have utmost passion for this sport, he added.

He said all out efforts were needed to further boost economic ties between Pakistan and Sri Lanka as it was the need of the hour.

The Consul General said: “Pakistan-Sri Lanka ties are stable and being cemented by every passing day.”
