Strike in Gandawah against electricity crisis

QUETTA:Residents of Gandawah staged rally and observed shutter down strike against persisting electricity and water crisis due to fault in local 33KV transformer that is not corrected despite passage of one and half months.

On the call of Sardar Qasim Shah Hussaini, a complete shutter down was observed at Gandawah town of district Jhal Magsi of Balochistan.

A protest rally was also taken out to protest against crisis of electricity and water. Protesters staged a sit-in in front of the office of Deputy Commissioner, Jhal Magsi and QESCO’s office Jhal Magsi.

They said that 33KV transformer of Gandawah has been out of order for one and half months creating big crisis of electricity and water. They said local flour mills have been closed owing to non-availability of electricity and people are facing severe hardships.

They demanded of the higher authorities to resolve their water and electricity problems.
