Students asked to tackle stress confidently

KARACHI: Cultural Attaché at US embassy Islamabad Thomas Montgomery asked the students of Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, (MAJU) Karachi to show their excellence while they face any kind of stress at work to overcome the difficult situation instead of being depressed.

He said that facing stress at work is a universal problem and every person from any corner of the world is forced to tackle this issue anyhow.

This he stated while he was addressing to a seminar on Stress Management which was organized by Personality Development Students Society of MAJU at University auditorium last evening.

US Cultural Attaché said that to release our stress in our life, we have to make sure not to delete the useless items from our life such as watching television for long hours and using social media without any purpose.

He emphasized that the students should make sure to focus on long term planning‘s and to keep the end in their mind. He asked the students to keep revisiting their goals, not to change them frequently, but to analyze how much is they achieved.

He told the students that when they face any kind of stress, differentiate between urgent and important works first. He said that if you focus on urgent works first than you will be looser, to cope up the situation always give importance to important works to come out from the difficult circumstances.

Personality Development Student Society head, Nadeem Ahmad said that stress should be taken a positive energy to work which should also be treated as a wakeup call to the peoples to be ready to do some good work.

Co-head of the society Jehanzeb Khan, asked the students to be proactive and peep into the future, so that they can anticipate and prepare themselves for the future problems and issues in order to feel less stressed.
