Supply from Warizai coalmine starts

Quetta: Supply of coal from Warizai coal mine district Duki of Balochistan has formally been started.

Frontier Corps, Balochistan assumed security charge of the Coal Mines.

In pursuance of Duki Warizai Coal Mines Agreement, Maiwand Rifle of Frontier Corps Balochsitan has been posted to provide security to the said coalmine.

In this regard a function was held at Warizai.

Muhammad Amin, Sobedar Major, Maiwand Rifles FC Balochistan, tribal elite Malik Abdullah Khan Zarkoon and Project Director, Warizai Coal Mine Project Abdul Ghaffar Nasar formally inaugurated Warizai Coal Mine Project by cutting a ribbon.

The said function was also attended by President Duki Press Club, Allah Noor Nasar, General Secretary, Fareed Khan Kakar, Mine owner Malik Falak Sher Zarkoon large number of dwellers of the area. At the occasion Project Director, Warizai Coal Mine Project, Abdul Ghafar Nasar, Malik Abdullah Zarkhoon, Malik Sultan Muhammad Zarkoon, Abdul Malik Nasar and others addressed the participants of the function.

Speakers thanked Frontier Corps Balochistan to have adopted measures for the welfare of the area and help start Warizai Coal Mine. They said that work on the project had been in progress since 2015 and now formally supply of coal from the said mine has been started. Thousands of tons of coal have already been supplied to the different areas of the country.

They said that the said project would serve as a game changer as it would bring about a change in the educational and health sectors.

Speakers said that there are many other mines of coal in the area, but due to law and order situation, work on them could not be started and now Frontier Corps Balochistan launched formal work and took the responsibility of security.
