KARACHI:More than 3000 stray dogs were killed within a month in the city, secretary local government submitted a report before Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday.
A SHC bench heard a petition filed by a citizen against lack of anti-rabies vaccines in the metropolitan. The secretary local government submitted report before the bench and informed it that more than 3000 stray dogs were killed within a month in the city.
The Task Force opposed to kill dogs through capsule. “It is terrible to kill dogs through capsules,” the secretary informed the bench.
The report stated that a dog might be mad if it did not die after capsule. The report further stated that all District Municipal Corporations (DMC) were given Rs76 million for anti-dog campaign.
