NAUNDERO:Three students were seriously injured and arm of another student was broken when cemented bars fell on them in classroom of Government Boys Higher Secondary School here Friday.

The panic gripped all students. The injured students include Junaid Mangrio, Jani Soomro and Tasawur Ali. After the incident, no student of class VII was ready to go inside their classroom to study due to fear. Most of them were shivering in panic and all of them went out to sit down under tree sheds in the park in this scorching heat wave.

Principal Abdul Latif Kazi confirmed the falling of cemented bars and injuries to the students and said that after first aid, those students were allowed to go home. He said the damaged classroom had been locked up and students will be shifted to another classroom.

It must be mentioned here that foundation stone of this ancient school was laid down by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on 21st November, 1963, when he was the minister for foreign affairs of Pakistan. He had at that time ordered to construct the school on ‘H’ type and since then no major repair had been made despite the fact that this building had become a historical treasure which had lasted 59 long years made of bricks and painted.
