Two bandits captured in Hyderabad, mobile phones worth Rs1m recovered

HYDERABAD:Hyderabad police on Monday claimed to have arrested two bandits and recovered looted mobile phone sets worth Rs1 million, two TT pistols and a bike used in the crimes from their possession.

Qasimabad police team, headed by SHO Saghir Hussain Sanghi under the supervision of its DSP arrested the bandits – Ghulam Akbar and Umair – during patrolling in Sehrish Nagar area of Hyderabad. The police said that the accused were involved in looting a Samsung mobile shop in Hyderabad on January 5, 2010.

They also claimed to have recovered mobile phones worth Rs1 million looted from a Samsung mobile shop located in Ali Palace in the city. This looting case had been registered at Qasimabad police station, they said. The police further said that accused had confessed to various crimes including dacoities and kidnapping.
