Two criminals arrested in injured condition after encounter: Larkana police

LARKANA: Market and Waleed Police Station authorities arrested two accused in injured condition in their respective jurisdictions after brief encounters namely Arslan son of Ghulam Umar Jatoi and Waheed alias Koral son of Muhammad Hassan Khoso and recovered weapons from their possession, police said Wednesday. They were alleged to be involved in criminal cases and activities in Larkana and elsewhere.

According to police, Jatoi was arrested in an injured condition when he was standing near Girls College, Larkana, along with his associates with the intention to commit crime. They said that he was involved in robberies and injuring Waheed Shaikh during Battery Shop robbery case along with robbery at the house of a Hindu. The injured criminal was shifted to Chandka Medical College Hospital CMCH for treatment.

In another encounter, Waleed Police arrested Waheed Khoso after an encounter as he was spotted during patrolling at Areeja Road along with his other accomplices. He is resident of Osta Muhammad, Balochistan and is wanted by Larkana, Kambar-Shahdadkot and Dadu police in eight cases of robberies, thefts, looting and police encounters and is also alleged to be a proclaimed offender of law. Larkana police claimed that Khoso is wanted by Thariri Muhabat, Mehar, Nasirabad and Waleed police stations and his further criminal record is being searched. He too was shifted to CMCH for treatment.

Despite so many encounters and arrests of the criminals, crime continues to surge in the entire Larkana district which is highly astonishing. The Sindh Government must take foolproof measures to curb criminals ahead of polls or it will lose the confidence of the residents.
