Two drug peddlers arrested, 145 kg hashish recovered

KARACHI:Soldier Bazaar police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested two drug pushers and recovered 145 kilograms of hashish during a raid in Karachi’s Soldier Bazaar area.

According to SSP East Ghulam Azfar Mahesar, on a tip-off, about transporting of the huge quantity of hashish from Pashin to Karachi, a Soldier Bazaar police team carried out a raid near Parsi Colony and recovered 145 kilograms of smuggled hashish from different types of apple boxes. The police also arrested two members of the inter-provincial gang.

In initial investigation, police said that the arrested accused Muhammad Manzoor and Lal Muhammad were also involved in supplying drug in other parts of the country.

Police registered FIRs against detainees and started further probe. Additional IG Karachi Dr Amir Sheikh announced cash rewards for the police team.
