Two lawyers killed in armed attack at Lahore sessions court

LAHORE: Two lawyers were killed in an armed attack in Lahore’s lower court complex on Tuesday.

According to details, an accused Kashif Rajput opened fire at a 34-year-old Rana Nadeem Advocate and a 40-year-old Awais, within the premises of sessions’ court in Lahore. As a result, one of the lawyer Nadeem, died on the spot, while Awais succumbed to his injuries during treatment in Mayo Hospital.

According to police, Rajput is a cousin of deceased Nadeem and family dispute is a motive behind the killing.

The police arrested the accused from the spot and recovered weapons from him.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif took a notice of the firing incident and sought detail report from the police.
