CHITRAL: Two women were killed and two others injured in landsliding due to heavy rain in Chitral Valley on Saturday.
The landsliding hit a house in Goladoro area. As a result, a 15-year-old girl, Shamsia Parveen suffered severe injuries and died on the spot, while her mother, Nahida Bibi sustained injuries.
Separately, in Lower Chitral area, stone avalanches hit Qurban Ali’s house as a result, his mother died while his daughter in-law sustained injuries.
The injured were shifted to District Hospital Chitarl for treatment.
Man dies in road accident
KARACHI: A man was killed in a road accident in Sohrab Goth area of the city on Saturday.
According to rescue sources, the 41-year-old man, Mohammad Hassan Khan, was hit by a fast-moving vehicle near Al-Asif Square in Sohrab Goth.
As a result, he died on the spot. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy.
