Update: Five killed, one injured in road mishaps

KARACHI:Five people were killed and one other injured in different traffic accidents in the metropolis on Monday.

According to rescue sources, a 70-year-old man, Abdul Masaan was hit by a fast-moving vehicle while crossing the road near Qasba Baloch Colony. As a result, he suffered severe injuries and died on the spot.

The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for a postmortem examination.

Separately, a speeding truck hit a motorbike on Teen Hatti Bridge. As a result, a 35-year-old unknown man sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.

The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for an autopsy.

Meanwhile, two persons, Sufiyan, aged 22, along with his cousin Mazamil, 23, was going to somewhere on a motorcycle when a over speeding vehicle hit them near Habbib Bank Chowrangi. As a result, they suffered severe injuries.

The injured were taken to a nearby hospital where Sufiyyan was pronounced dead.

A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a speeding vehicle in Karachi’s Ittehad town area. The victim, Muhammad Saleem, aged 66 suffered multiple injuries after he was hit by a car while crossing the road. The body was shifted to a hospital for an autopsy.

A speeding truck crushed to death a 13-year-old boy, Abdul Gahfar in Manghopir area. The body was shifted to AHS for an autopsy.
