US president’s letter to PM termed a landmark achievement

KARACHI:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Nusrat Wahid said Sunday that the letter to Prime minister Imran Khan from the US President Donald Trump seeking intervention into Afghanistan issue for peace and stability is the result of successful foreign policy that also reflects the sacrifices rendered by the Pakistani nation and its armed forces to eliminate the menace of terrorism in the region.

“More than 80,000 people had sacrificed their lives for peace and stability in Pakistan and the country’s economy had also been badly affected and Pakistan had lost more than 150 dollars,” she said in a statement.

PTI leader said: “Pakistan has always carried out actions against the terrorists without any discrimination. The world must admire the sacrifices given by Pakistan over elimination of terrorism from Pakistan. We like to establish trade relations with the USA as same as USA has with China. There is no place for Taliban in Pakistan, but from time to time, the USA keeps alleging Pakistan which is totally baseless.”

She said the world should realize that peace and stability in Afghanistan was in the best interest of Pakistan as such Pakistan would play its due role for the peace and stability in Afghanistan. “Drone attacks are against the sovereignty of the country. A proper reply to US President’s letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan will soon be set out.”
