KARACHI:In line with the vision of its Founder-Chancellor Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said, the Hamdard University held its fourth edition of the Career Fair in collaboration with Kubix Creative, powered by GFS Builders and mentored by the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialisation at the Expo Centre, Karachi, according to a statement issued on Friday.

The event began with a formal inauguration by the chief guest Sadia Rashid, President Hamdard Foundation Pakistan and Chancellor Hamdard University; guest of honor, Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, Chairman, Brookes Pharma, Prof Dr Syed Shabib ul Hasan, Vice Chancellor, Hamdard University; and Kaleem Ahmed Ghias, Registrar, HU.

“More than anything, this event is the biggest reflection of how Hamdard University is providing the opportunities to not only its students, but the overall youth of this country to learn and grow,” said the chief guest Sadia Rashid. Around 100 well-reputed companies participated in the Career Fair from corporate, education, fashion, media, finance, IT, banking, health, pharmaceutical and social sectors.

The event received an overwhelming response as more than 20,000 students, jobseekers and visitors from diversified backgrounds participated and connected with their potential employers. While appreciating the efforts of students, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Syed Shabib ul Hasan said, “This event is purely organized by our students with the support of their mentors. Our focus is to prepare the youth and mould them into pioneering professionals of tomorrow.”
