Karachi, July 13, 2018 (PPI-OT): Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) in collaboration with Embassy of Pakistan, Thailand has organized 1st Pakistan Single Country Exhibition under the banner of Emerging Pakistan in Bangkok from 13th to 15th July 2018 at Queen Sirikit Convention Center. Leading Pakistani companies from fisheries, sports goods, surgical, pharma, handicrafts, cutlery, furniture and designer wear participated in the event. The event was aimed at promoting and strengthening Pakistan – Thailand Business Interests in the light of upcoming FTA between the two countries. This event provided great opportunity for the businessmen from both the countries to develop and nurture long term business relations.
H.E. Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, Pakistan Ambassador to Thailand extended special invitation to Thai Vice Minister for Commerce Mr. Sakon Varanyuwatana for the inauguration ceremony which was attended by Ambassadors hailing from different countries including top business community. The ceremony portrayed magnanimous picture of Pakistan and gave a glimpse of vast potential in manufacturing, labour, agriculture, tourism etc. To showcase dynamic and vibrant design potential, fashion show was also organised during the ceremony which received great appreciation from the high profile dignitaries and guests.
The Honourable Chief Guest along with other diplomats and guests visited the stalls of Pakistani goods and praised the quality of goods which are on offer. He assured all possible support to Pakistani business firms to strengthen and enhance business ties between the two countries. Around 68 exhibitors including SMEs and Women Entrepreneurs belonging to different sectors from Pakistan are exhibiting their products during the 3 days single country exhibition in Bangkok.
