(Govt): Kamal pledges promoting sports

Quetta:Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan accompanied by Advisor to Chief Minister for Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Abdul Khaliq Hazara and Secretary Sports Department, Imran Gichki visited Shutukan Karate Academy Hazara Town, said a statement issued here on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan said that measures are being adopted at governmental level to promote sports in the province. He added sports activities carry immense importance in healthy society.

Cash reward demanded for doctors

Quetta:Dr. Luqman Hakeem, Chairman, Sheikh Zayed Hospital-Fatima Jinnah Hospital Employees Action Committee called on authorities to grant two full pay cash award as reward to officers as well as officials who remained engaged in official duties during COVID-19 pandemic. Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here on Sunday with Pervaiz Iqbal Bangulzai, Javed Raisani, Aziz Ahmed, Salam Baloch and others. Dr. Luqman Hakeem said though Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan had accorded approval on a summary initiated by the provincial government for grant of two full pay cash award as reward to the employees who were engaged in official duties during COVID-19 yet the said cash award had not yet been paid to the employees of Sheikh Zayed Hospital and Fatima Jinnah Hospital....

Minor earthquake jolts Khuzdar

Quetta:An earthquake of 4 magnitude on Richter scale with a depth of 20 kilometer was felt in Khuzdar on Sunday, according to Met Office. The epicenter of the earthquake was reported to be some 90 kilometers north-west of Khuzdar. However, no damage of property or casualty was reported.

Four injured in road accident

Dalbandin:Four persons were critically injured in a collision between two vehicles on RCD Highway in Dalbandin on Sunday. According to details, two vehicle collided with each other on the RCD Highway near Talu Landi area of Dalbandin. Resultantly, four persons namely Sanaullah, Rehmatullah resident of Dalbandin, Nawaz and Manzoor, resident of Maskhel sustained critical injuries. They were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital, Dalbandin where after providing initial treatment, one critically injured Nawaz was referred to Quetta. Separately, two persons sustained injuries after falling from over speeding motorcycle they were riding on Bypass Road near Faisal Colony.

14-year girl gang-rape case accused arrested

Larkana:The DIGP, Larkana Rage, Irfan Ali Baloch, claimed on Sunday that police teams formed by him after the hectic efforts arrested three accused involved in gang-rape case with a minor girl in village Yar Mohammad Khokhar on August 10 within the limits of Bakrani police station in Larkana district. He said police teams led by DSP Bakrani Khalil Rehman Misan raided the hideout and arrested Jamil Khokhar, Jani Khokhar and Sohail Khokhar. He said that the accused had committed the assault on the 14-year--old girl in their village after kidnapping her. DIG said that the medical reports had confirmed the assault on the victim. "I had formed the JIT under the supervision of DSP Misan to arrest the accused" he added and announced Rs 50 thousand for the police as cash reward for arresting...
