Government initiates various programs to ensure protection of children’s rights: Prime Minister

Islamabad, November 20, 2020 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Imran Khan says the government has initiated various programs to ensure protection of children’s rights. In his message on the World Children’s Day, he said the government is striving to ensure that child’s rights to inclusive development, education, healthcare, participation, dignity and security as envisaged in the UN Convention on the Rights are implemented. Government taking steps to deal with second wave of COVID-19: Dr. Faisal Sultan

Islamabad, November 20, 2020 (PPI-OT): Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan has said that government has taken timely and proportionate steps to deal with the second wave of Coronavirus pandemic. Talking to a private news channel, he said National Command and Control Centre has proposed restrictions on large-scale public gatherings and issued fresh guidelines for marriage halls after the country saw a rise in COVID-19 infections in recent weeks. Pakistan expresses commitment to protect human rights of all children

In a statement on Friday on the occasion of World Children Day, Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said Pakistan has undertaken a range of institutional and legal measures to eliminate exploitation of children and their discrimination based on gender, religion and ethnicity.
