BPSGA rejects closure of educational institutions in Balochistan

QUETTA:Balochistan Private School Grand Alliance has categorically rejected the closure of educational institutions and announced to continue academic activities till December 15.   Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here on Tuesday, Nazar Bareach, spokesman of Balochistan Private School Grand Alliance said that it was not known as to why educational institutions were being closed when permission had been granted to business centres and shops for continuing their activities. DALBANDIN:Mir Muhammad Arif Muhammad Hasni, Provincial Minister for Communication and Works Department while lauding the performance of Bolan Blood Bank has said that blood donation service is one of the best social services to humanity. Balochistan Regulatory Reform Committee holds first meeting

QUETTA:The first meeting of the Balochistan Regulatory Reform Committee (BRRC) was held Tuesday in Quetta. SHC orders implementation of 5% job quota for disabled

KARACHI:The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday ordered the Sindh government to ensure implementation of 5% job quota for disabled persons.   The high court bench, headed by Justice Nadeem Akhtar, hearing a plea seeking recruitment on blind and disabled quota, ordered the Sindh government to implement a 5% disability quota.   The court rejected the Sindh government's report which stated it has given government jobs to 75 people with disabilities. All disabled applicants should be given jobs, the court ordered the government.   If an applicant is not eligible for government employment, the full reason should be told to the court, the court said. “The 102 more disabled and blind people of Sindh should be provided government jobs,” Justice Nadeem Akhtar remarked...

Over dozen NICVD employees contract COVID-19 in a week

KARACHI:The National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) has launched screening of doctors, nurses, paramedical staff and administrative officials after reporting of over a dozen coronavirus positive cases in a week.   Spokesperson, NICVD, while talking to PPI, said Tuesday that more than 12 employees of NICVD, including doctors, nurses, paramedics and others, had been tested positive for COVID-19 in a week.
