Descon Engineering posts robust revenue

KARACHI:Pakistan’s leading large-scale engineering company, Descon Engineering Ltd. (DEL), said in a statement on Monday that it had recorded significantly high growth in revenues on the back of major projects in domestic and overseas geographies as per its FY 2021-22 performance indicators. DEL engineered equipment for the oil and gas sector in Qatar, Iraq, Bahrain, UAE, Oman, Eastern Europe and Pakistan. It also engineered equipment for refineries in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE, Yemen, Oman and Russia. The company's engineering services arm, Descon Engineering Services and Technology (DEST), also performed well in serving clients in Saudi Arabia. Larkana, Miro Khan and Ratodero still littered with rainwater

LARKANA:Stagnant rainwater could not be drained out from various areas of Larkana, Miro Khan and Ratodero, it emerged on Monday. According to collected information, 12mm rain was recorded in Larkana last night and low lying areas were inundated. Ratodero Police Station and judicial lockup were filled with rainwater along with other government offices and in Miro Khan, rainwater could not be drained out from the office of the Assistant Commissioner, Mukhtiarkar and other localities due to which people faced greater hardships exposing the so called claims of development carried out in the province by the Sindh rulers. PTI rejects talks on charter of economy, says Fawad

ISLAMABAD:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader and former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry on Monday reacted to the charter of economy proposed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, saying that his party has rejected this proposal. Addressing the media, the former federal minister said that the entire party condemns the torture of PTI leader Shahbaz Gill. He alleged that efforts are being made to kidnap and shift him to PIMS. Justice Mansoor becomes JCP member

ISLAMABAD:Justice Mansoor Ali Shah has become the member of Judicial Commission of Pakistan to replace Justice Sajjad Ali Shah on Monday. Justice Mansoor has been appointed as member of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan. He was nominated for the post after the retirement of Justice (r) Sajjad Ali Shah as judge of the Supreme Court. Justice (r) Sajjad attained his superannuation on Aug 13. The JCP is a commission which makes appointments/elevation of judges to the Supreme Court and high courts of the country. Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial currently heads the JCP.

Floods has affected whole Balochistan: CM

QUETTA:Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, said on Monday that flood has affected the whole province and we are to see all the districts of the province. These views were expressed by him while chairing a meeting in the city to review the ongoing relief activities in the flood affected areas and carry out survey of the damages caused by the recent floods. The meeting decided to form special teams comprising officers to assess the damages caused by the recent floods.
