Collective policy to be framed for relief, rehabilitation of flood affectees: Prime Minister

Islamabad, August 27, 2022 (PPI-OT):Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said a collective policy will be framed in collaboration with the provinces for the relief and rehabilitation of flood affected people. He made the remarks during a visit to Sujawal district of Sindh province on Saturday where representatives of concerned departments briefed him about the devastation caused by the calamity. Prime Minister vows to steer Pakistan out of challenge posed by floods

Islamabad, August 27, 2022 (PPI-OT):Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said Pakistan will be steered out of the challenge posed by the floods and put on the path of development through collective efforts. He was talking to the media persons in Sujawal District of Sindh province after getting a detailed briefing from the departments concerned regarding the ongoing rescue and relief activities. PAF assisting civil administration in flood relief, rescue efforts

Islamabad, August 27, 2022 (PPI-OT):Emergency Response teams of Pakistan Air Force are assisting civil administration in rescue and relief efforts in the flood affected areas of South Punjab, Balochistan and Sindh. PAF bases are actively participating in relief operations. Pakistan Navy is also continuing rescue and relief operation in flood affected areas of Sindh. Teams of Pakistan Navy are shifting the marooned people to safer places through boats. Pakistan Navy has also established medical camps in different flood affected areas. Provincial Disaster Management Authorities continuing rescue and relief efforts in flood ravaged areas

Islamabad, August 27, 2022 (PPI-OT):Provincial Disaster Management Authorities are continuing their rescue and relief efforts in the flood ravaged areas. Talking to News and Current Affairs Channel of Radio Pakistan, Director General of PDMA Sindh Syed Salman Shah said the flash floods have disrupted communication links. He said estimate of damages cannot be ascertained at the moment but roughly the calamity has inflicted a loss of 850 billion rupees to the houses and crops.
