Sukkur police withdraw FIR against flood victim for staging protest

Karachi, August 28, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Sukkur police on the directives of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah have withdrawn the FIR they had registered against the flood affected people for staging protest when Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif arrived at Sukkur on last Friday. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah taking serious note of the action ordered Sukkur police to withdraw FIR No.100/2022 lodged by the SITE police against the flood affected people for staging protest when PM Shahbaz had arrived at Sukkur. Pakistan Navy Rescue and Relief Operation is underway in flash flood hit areas

Karachi, August 28, 2022 (PPI-OT):Pakistan Navy rescue and relief operation is underway in coastal and creeks areas and it has further extended its teams to different areas of Sanghar, Qambar Shahdad Kot, Sukkur, Bakrani, Larkana, Mirpur Khas and Dadu on special request from Sindh government. Pakistan Navy personnel rescued the locals stranded inside flooded homes and shifted them to safer locations by using helicopters and boats. Population of an entire village of district Dadu naming Goth Muhammad Hassan Chandio was evacuated through Seaking Helicopter. PIA announces it will uplift all the humanitarian relief goods on free of cost basis in coordination with National Disaster Management Authority

Karachi, August 28, 2022 (PPI-OT):In order to plays its part in the national level relief efforts undertaken for the flood affectees in Sindh and Balochistan, PIA announced that it will uplift all the humanitarian relief goods on free of cost basis in coordination with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). CEO PIA has passed on relevant instructions to its Cargo Division’s team for immediate compliance and has nominated focal persons at Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad airport’s Cargo Offices for the coordination and uplift of relief goods. BISP starts distribution of Rs25000 assistance among flood victim families

Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Shazia Marri said people can lodge their complaints on these numbers.
