Chief of Army Staff to visit far flung areas of Interior Sindh today

Islamabad, September 10, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa will visit far flung areas of Interior Sindh on Saturday. He will spend time with flood affected people in relief and medical camps and also meet Pakistan Army troops busy in rescue and relief activities. He will also take an aerial view of flood affected areas of Dadu, Khairpur Nathan Shah, Johi, Meher and Manchar Lake. Prime Minister, United Nations Chief receive briefing on devastation caused by floods in Balochistan

Islamabad, September 10, 2022 (PPI-OT):Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres have arrived in Usta Mohammad Tehsil of Jafferabad in Balochistan. Chief Secretary Balochistan briefed them about the devastation caused by floods in the province and the ongoing rescue and relief activities. Talking to the UN Secretary General, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Balochistan is the largest province of Pakistan in terms of area. He said access to different areas in the province is very difficult as the roads and infrastructure have been damaged. United States Agency for International Development enhances financial assistance by another $20 million for flood victims

Islamabad, September 10, 2022 (PPI-OT):The United States Agency for International Development has enhanced the financial assistance by another 20 million dollars, thus taking it to a total of 51 million dollars. This was informed by USAID Administrator Samantha Power during her meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad. She vowed that the U.S. Administration remains engaged and continues to support Pakistan in these difficult circumstances.
