Pak army soldier martyred in attack from Afghanistan

  RAWALPINDI: A soldier of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom when terrorists from inside Afghanistan across the international border opened fire on a military post in Hassan Khel Sector of North Waziristan district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military’s media affairs wing said on Sunday. The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a news release said the Pakistan Army troops responded in a befitting manner. The martyred soldier was identified as Assistant Lance Daffadar Waqar Ali (32-year-old, resident of Chota Lahore, Swabi) who embraced martyrdom during the fire exchange. Senator Ali Zafar terms Imran Khan’s disqualification illegal

Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Barrister Syed Ali Zafar strongly opposed the decision to disqualify Imran Khan as illegal. 12 PTI workers arrested for damaging public property

ISLAMABAD: The Bara Kahu police have arrested 12 PTI workers on charges of damaging public properties during a protest against the ECP verdict on Sunday. The arrested include Mujahid, Farazman, Haroon, Ayaz Khan, Fazl Mola, Usman Khan, Razmi Khan, Mehtab Hussain, and Zahid Hussain. Cases were registered against 78 nominated accused and hundreds of unknown workers in different police stations in Islamabad yesterday. Protest demonstrations and clashes with the security forces have started countrywide after the Election Commission of Pakistan’s decision to disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case.
