PML-N MPA’s father gunned down in Pakpattan

Pakpattan: Ahmed Ali Arain, the father of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA from Pakpattan Mian Naveed, was murdered on Friday.   Police said that Arain was shot dead in the bedroom of his home in Pakpattan. Further investigation was underway, said the police. MPA Naveed told media that his servants informed him about the incident on telephone following which he rushed to his native city. Rescue officials said that bullets’ shells were also found in the room.   Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz has taken notice of the incident, sought a report from the provincial inspector general of police (IGP) and ordered arrest of the culprits at the earliest. Over Rs20m oxygen gas arrears against CMCH revealed

LARKANA: The administration of Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana, had demanded sanction of over rupees twenty million to clear outstanding dues to suppliers against which health department sent a letter on 26th September to let them know the actual consumption of the gas in the CMCH departments. The CMCH authorities had already written another letter in February 2021 apart from previous correspondence and had demanded installation of one 10 ton Oxygen Generation Plant, plus running expenditure, for CMCH on emergency basis which may have reduced 50% expenditure of taxpayers money but the demand felt on deaf ears of the decision makers. Sanjrani forms committee to look into Swati’s allegations

  ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani on Sunday set up a special committee to investigate into the allegations levelled by PTI Senator Azam Swati regarding a leaked video. The Senate chairman formed a 14-member special committee which will look into the accusations levelled by Senator Swati during his press conference yesterday. Sharjeel announces electric bus service for Karachi

KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon on Sunday announced electric bus service for Karachi and added that its test drive will start on Monday (today). On his twitter account, the minister said that Sindh government of Pakistan Peoples Party had fulfilled another promise made with the citizens of Karachi. The world's most modern electric buses will now be seen on the roads of Karachi. He said that the Transport Department, Government of Sindh was going to launch a new bus service in Karachi which is the first electric bus service in Pakistan and completely eco-friendly.

Family of Sameer gets Rs5 million cheque, father expresses gratitude to Sharifs

KARACHI: PM special aide Ata Tarar has paid a visit to the residence of Sameer on Sunday. Reportedly Sameer died after his bike had a head-on collision with the march container. Witnesses said the container was on the wrong way and collided head-on with his motorbike, leaving him dead on the spot. Last Sunday, journalist Sadaf Naeem was crushed to death as she skidded off PTI chief Imran Khan’s container during the long march. Ata Tarar expressed sympathies with the bereaved family and handed over a Rs5 million cheque to the father of Sameer on behalf of the Prime Minister.
