Over the last three decades, Chinese archaeologists have undertaken four excavations at the Longshan Culture Site in Jiaochangpu, Chiping, where a variety of almost 1,000 pieces of pottery, stone and bone relics have been unearthed. Among them, the three pottery kilns excavated in 2001 remain the most complete cluster of Longshan Culture in China, constituting a valuable source of cultural relics for research into the socio-economic patterns of that period. LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday acquitted a death row prisoner after the contradiction in the statements of witnesses in the murder case. As per details, the two-member bench headed by Justice Shehram Sarwar heard the plea. The LHC said that there is a contradiction in the statements of witnesses. Hereby, the court acquitted the accused man Muhammad Amir after six years of his death sentence. The case was registered against the accused Muhammad Amir by the Faisalabad police in 2016. ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the schedule for election on the Senate seat from Sindh that fell vacant due to the resignation of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Mustafa Nawaz Khokar, it emerged on Wednesday. According to a notification issued by the electoral body, the polling for the vacant seat will take place on December 8 in the Sindh Assembly. Candidates can submit their nomination papers from November 18, after which the scrutiny of the papers will begin on November 25. Young man shot dead near Dera Murad Jamali

DERA MURAD JAMALI: Young man was shot dead by unidentified armed men near Mir Hassan Road in Patfeeder canal area of Dera Murad Jamali on Wednesday. According to police, unidentified armed men gunned down young man namely Abdullah near Mir Hassan Road, Patfeeder canal area of Dera Murad Jamali. The body was shifted to Dera Murad Jamali hospital and later handed over to the heirs after fulfilling necessary medico-legal formalities. Cricket coaching course begins on Thursday

LAHORE: Pakistan legend and current batting coach Mohammad Yousuf and Test batter Azhar Ali will be part of the Level 3 coaching course that begins on Thursday at the National High Performance Centre in Lahore.
