Buzdar’s interim bail extended in assets beyond means case

LAHORE: The Accountability Court Tuesday extended interim bail of former Punjab chief minister Usman Buzdar in assets beyond means case till December 5. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has submitted its response in the court on interim bail of former Punjab chief minister Usman Buzdar in assets beyond means case. The court asked the anti-graft watchdog if it is necessary to arrest former Punjab chief minister Buzdar. The NAB prosecutor informed the court that the PTI leader’s arrest warrant is not issued yet. Earlier, an accountability had stopped NAB from arresting Buzdar in this case. 25 more Covid cases detected in Pakistan

KARACHI: As many as 25 persons tested positive for Covid across the country with no death from the pandemic during the last 24 hours, according National Institute of Health (NIH) report issued on Tuesday. NIH has reported no death in the last 24 hours by coronavirus as the number of confirmed positive cases has surged to 1,574,939 so far while the countrywide death toll from the pandemic stands at 30,630 since the outbreak of the disease in Feb 2020. According to NIH daily report, 25 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 across the country in the past 24 hours. Luckily, no death happened from the disease. The covid ratio was recorded at 0.72 percent from 3,478 tests.

Moot demands early rehabilitation of flood affected people

MIRPURKHAS: Participants at a consultation demanded both the federal and provincial governments to take immediate measures to protect lives of flood affected people due to cold weather, especially those who are still living in relief camps and cannot return to their home due to standing flood water. HEC holds Capacity Building Programme for Emerging Women Leaders

ISLAMABAD: The National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), an academic wing of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), conducted a five-day programme titled, Capacity Building of Emerging Women Leaders, for the female faculty and administration of the higher education institutions (HEIs) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The programme was held at the University of Peshawar. NAHE launched its “Women Leadership Programme” in 2021 for senior women leaders and built capacity of 80 senior women leaders from HEIs across Pakistan during 2021-22.
