DG ISPR rejects unwarranted statement of Indian Army Officer on AJK

ISLAMABAD: Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar has strongly rejected the unwarranted statement of a high ranking Indian Army Officer regarding Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). Armed bikers kill man, injure other in Larkana

LARKANA: A man was killed and a passerby injured in the firing by armed bikers near Christian Colony here on Thursday. According to a report, armed men opened fire near Larkana's near Christian Colony, killing Altaf son of Manzoor Gad and left Farooq Qureshi injured. Both were shifted to Chandka Hospital Emergency Department by the police. Ali Dino Gad, relative of the deceased, alleged that a year ago, a man named Hafeezur Rahman of Kehar community, was killed and that murder allegation was levelled against Altaf and his brother Yousif Gad. He said Altaf was returning home after hearing of that case when he was killed by two armed bikers. Neither any case was registered nor any arrest could be made by the Civil Lines police station till filing this report.

15 start-ups win grants of up to $35,000 each HEC contest

ISLAMABAD: Fifteen start-ups have won grants of up to $35,000 each in the Pitching Competition organized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) under the Innovator Seed Fund (ISF). Seven-day anti-polio drive to start in Peshawar from Nov 28

PESHAWAR: The seven-day anti-polio campaign would start in the provincial capital from November 28 during which children under the age of five year will be administered polio drops. In this regard, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Shafiullah Khan. The meeting reviewed the preparations for the drive during which as many as 866,603 children would be administered polio drops.
