President urges media to create awareness about PWDs’ rights

Pakistan calls on Afghan govt to beef up security at its embassy in Kabul

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Muhammad Sadiq has said all necessary resources will be provided to further enhance security of diplomats in Kabul. In a series of tweets on Saturday, he said our diplomats will continue to discharge their duties effectively in the most important foreign capital for Pakistan. He said Afghan interim government will need to beef up security of our Embassy and its personnel. Faisalabad cops kill two muggers in encounter

FAISALABAD: Faisalabad police on Saturday claimed to have killed two robbers in an encounter in Faisalabad on Saturday. According to police, the two robbers committed a robbery in Hajiabad area and hid themselves in shop after fleeing. On information, the police party, led by Station House Officer Millat Town Rana Mugfoor, chased and spotted them at a shop in Faisalabad area. When police reached there, an encounter took place. In crossfire, the two robbers were killed. The police have started further probe into the incident.

Two earthquakes jolt KP areas; No causality reported

PESHAWAR: Two earthquakes jolted parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province, including Peshawar and Chitral on Saturday, however, no causality was report yet. According to National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the first earthquake with magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale struck parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The quake tremors were felt in Chitral, Dir and other areas of the KP. The depth of the earthquake was 101 kilometers and its epicenter was 73 away from Chitral. No casualty was reported so far. The panic gripped the areas and people rushed to safe areas. According to US Geological Survey (USGS), the second earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale hit the region after an hour and a half which was located 144 kilometers north of the first earthquake in Ishkashim in KP. RAWALPINDI: Awami Muslim League founder leader Sheikh Rashid Ahmad said on Saturday that the politics of the PDM has buried.
