Pakistan receives 46 coaches from China: Minister

ISLAMABAD: Minister of Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique said on Sunday that Pakistan Railways has received 46 out of 230 new high-speed passenger coaches from China. Addressing a press conference here today, he said that Pakistan Railways would soon begin manufacturing 184 similar coaches at its carriage factory in Islamabad with the assistance of Chinese engineers under the technology transfer agreement. The carriage factory is being upgraded in this regard, he revealed. The minister said it has become difficult to run the institution as there is no continuity in the national policies. PDM will keep running from elections: Fawad

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former information minister Fawad Chaudhry on Sunday said Imran Khan has directed party lawmakers to prepare for elections. Taking to twitter, Fawad Chaudhry shared that PTI supremo has advised all party legislators to go back to their constituencies and increase public contacts. The former minister said the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) would keep running from elections but PTI would not waste any more time. Fawad said PTI would opt for elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and polls for National Assembly would be held afterwards if ruling coalition does not announce general elections.

T20 Women’s Cricket Tournament second phase to begin from tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: After the conclusion of the six-match first phase of T20 Women’s Cricket Tournament, the second phase will commence from Monday, 5 December at the two venues of Lahore - Lahore Gymkhana and LCCA Ground, according to PCB information on Sunday. Four teams namely Blasters, Challengers, Dynamites and Strikers will feature in the event where Pakistan’s elite cricketers will take part.
