Weather alert for Balochistan: Bizenjo directs institutes for preparation

KARACHI: Following the reports of heavy rains and snowfalls in the northern areas of Balochistan, Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudous Bizenjo on Sunday issued an alert to the institutions and district administrations. According to a report, Balochistan CM Bizenjo directed the DMA, administration, and institutions to remain alert to deal with any emergency in the northern areas of the province. Bizenjo directed the institutions and administrations to prepare to deal with any kind of emergency by monitoring the weather conditions in the respective districts. Karachiites join PTI rally against price hike

KARACHI: A large number of Karachiites warmly participated in a rally of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) against the price hike on call of Chairman Imran Khan. The rally started from Quaidabad Malir, led by former Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and the leader of opposition in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil. Protest against Radio Pakistan ST held in Larkana

LARKANA: Members of Mahar community held a protest demonstration at Jinnah Bagh here on Sunday against Station Director, Radio Pakistan, Larkana, for allegedly removing pics of their notables from the official office of a senior producer when he was out of the country. They were holding placards in their hands and shouted slogans against the Station Director. Protesters included Imran Mahar, Babu Mahar, Mour Mahar, Waheed Sangi, Altaf Bhutto and others. Rs150m released for CMCH Trauma Center will be revised for Karachi Center

LARKANA: The Sindh Government had placed a released fund of Rs150 million allocated earlier to the Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH), Larkana, for running recently repaired and renovated Trauma Center, at the disposal of Institute of Trauma, Karachi. Shortage of Staff: PIA submits report in SC

KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has submitted a report containing the five-year financial plan to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court on Dec 17 rejected the plea of PIA seeking permission to recruit 200 employees, including 80 pilots. The apex court has asked PIA to submit a detailed report in this regard. The supreme court has put a ban on new recruitment in PIA since 2018. PIA submitted the report through its counsel Salman Akram Raja in the apex court.
