President for integrated efforts on mental health initiatives

ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi has said that the initiatives on mental health taken by the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Planning and Development and Special Initiatives, and the President’s House may be integrated by optimizing processes and combining them to develop an effective Artificial Intelligence based helpline to reach out to the maximum population around the country to provide them counselling and advice on mental health issues faced by them. Federal Ombudsman urges media to play role in spreading awareness about institute

ISLAMABAD: Federal Ombudsman Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi has called for spreading awareness among people to use the office of Ombudsman for registering their complaints against any government institution. He was speaking at a ceremony here in Islamabad on Tuesday to mark the 40th Foundation Day of the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat. Ejaz Qureshi said the Ombudsman office resolves the cases within 60 days and helps people without getting them into tedious legal proceedings. He urged media to play its role in spreading awareness about the institute and its efficacy in swift delivery of justice.

Cabinet orders to prepare strategy for preventing incidents of power breakdown

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Cabinet has directed to prepare a comprehensive strategy for preventing incidents of power breakdown in future. The Federal Cabinet which met here in Islamabad on Tuesday with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the chair also approved first-of-its-kind nationwide public awareness campaign to adopt energy-saving habits.
