QILA SAIFULLAH: As many as 22 people were killed and one other injured in a road accident near Akhtar Zai in Qila Saifullah on Wednesday.
According to rescue sources, a van carrying passengers was going to Lora Lai from Zhob way when it fell into a ditch near Akhtar Zai in Qila Saifullah. As a result, 22 people died and one child suffered injuries.
There was hue and cry following the horrible accident. Rescue team rushed to the scene on the information and shifted the injured to a local hospital for treatment. A mourning atmosphere prevailed in the houses of victims. Qila Saifullah deputy commissioner, assistant commissioner and others also reached the venue. The DC was of the view that due to the tough terrain, it might take four or five hours to retrieve and shift the bodies.
