KARACHI:As many as 273 new dengue cases surfaced across the Sindh province in a week out of which 268 were reported in Karachi alone and five in other districts.
The Vector Borne Diseases Department of Directorate General Health Services, Sindh, has recorded 1,352 dengue fever cases throughout the Sindh province from 1st to 29 November out of them 1,297 were registered in Karachi and 55 in other districts.
The VBD registered a total 3,555 dengue cases all over the Sindh province since 1st January to 29 November 2020 in Sindh out of which 3,376 surfaced in Karachi and 179 in other districts of province so far.
In Karachi, District East was on top with dengue cases this month so far followed by District South, District Central, District Korangi, District West and District Malir, respectively .
The majority of cases have been reported from Gulshan-e-Iqabl, North Nazimabad, Saddar/ Defence and Gulberg areas of the city.
A death due to dengue fever was also reported in Karachi city this year.
