Uthal:Excise and Taxation department Lasbela claimed to have seized 27 kilograms of fine quality hashish from smugglers on Monday.
One accused was arrested. According to detail, a team of Excise and Taxation and Anti-Narcotics during routine checking on RCD Highway seized 27 kilograms of hashish from hidden compartments of a Karachi-bound pickup coming from Quetta.
One accused Tariq Zaman S/O Ghulam Siddique, R/O Sheikhupura, Punjab was taken into custody.
Separately, Naib Risaldar Abdul Jalil Soomro formally assumed the charge of the post of Incharge, Levies Station Uthal on Monday.
Talking to media, Abdul Jalil Soomro said peace in the levies area of Uthal would be maintained at all costs, adding that no one would be allowed to disrupt law and order situation.
