LARKANA:As many as 398 out of 400 offer letters of successful Primary School Teachers (PST) of Ratodero taluka, including male, female, minorities and disabled were handed over to the candidates at Bhutto House in Naundero on Wednesday.

Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah and area MPA Faryal Talpur handed over the offer letter at a ceremony. These candidates were declared successful on merit in the IBA test for recruitment of teachers held across Sindh in September 2021.

Faryal Talpur said that Offer Letters are being given purely on merit which also include a large number of girls. She urged the successful candidates to impart education to the children honestly wherever they are posted. She asked the education minister to arrange training programs for the teachers so that they may be able to discharge their duties professionally.

Education Minister Sardar Shah said that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto always talked about merit hence we are acting on their vision and giving 50,000 jobs purely on merit. He claimed that in PS-10 more schools have been opened and space of Shahnawaz Bhutto Memorial Library will also be increased so that candidates could be able to study and prepare themselves for competitive examinations.

Candidates who obtained the offer letters opined on condition of anonymity for fear of repercussions that they are receiving offer letters very late after being declared successful whereas offer letters to candidates of other districts have already been distributed and they have joined their government duties but they were denied the letters on time which is unjust. The candidates said that they passed the test on merit without any influence hence waiting for any political figure is totally unreasonable which will deprive us of our due seniority. Offer letters of Dokri and Bakrani taluka are expected to be distributed today (Thursday).

When this Scribe contacted DEO Gulsher Soomro to know the cause of late distribution of offer letters he did not respond but his office credible sources said that they had finalized the lists on merit in due time but they were asked that a VVIP will distribute the offer letters of Ratodero hence they had to wait till he or she gives the time and arrives at Naundero.
