Islamabad, January 29, 2018 (PPI-OT):Pakistan is hosting the 3rd Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Attorneys/Prosecutors General Conference at Islamabad from 30-31 January 2018. The meeting is implementation of Pakistan’s obligation as current chair of ECO. Pakistan holds the chair as the 13th ECO Summit was held in Islamabad on 1st March 2017. H.E. Mr. Raza Rabbani, Chairman Senate of Pakistan will be the Chief Guest at the inaugural session of the Conference. ECO member countries will be represented at a high level by Attorneys/Prosecutors General.
The Secretary General of ECO, Mr. Halil Ibrahim Akca will lead the delegation of the ECO Secretariat. Pakistan, being a founding member and the current Chairman of ECO extends full support to ECO projects and initiatives. Pakistan has always played an active role to ensure regional integration and interdependence amongst member states. We support ECO’s initiatives and have always encouraged further enhancing the current steady progress. Pakistan is working for the implementation of the agreements in the Islamabad Declaration and vision 2025 adopted on 1st March 2017 in Islamabad.
