4th Edition of Jinnah Trophy Cricket Tournament held at Dreux near Paris

Islamabad, September 30, 2019 (PPI-OT): The final match of the 4th Jinnah Trophy Cricket tournament was held on yesterday at Dreux near Paris. Dreux defeated USCA in a thrilling match to clinch the trophy, says a press release received here today from Paris. Mr. Abbas Sarwar Qureshi, Head of Chancery of Pakistan Embassy, Mayor of Dreux Mr. Gerard Hamel, Adjoint Sports Mr. Mourad Souni, Mr. Prebou Balane, President Cricket France witnessed the match and distributed prizes among the winners. Jinnah Trophy has emerged as the main and most awaited Cricketing event in France over the years.

This year 20 teams from across the country participated in the tournament. While addressing the spectators at Prize Distribution Ceremony Mr. Prebou Balane, President Cricket France thanked the Embassy of Pakistan for its continuous support for the tournament and introducing Cricket as a new sports trend in France. Mr. Abbas Sarwar Qureshi congratulated the organisers of the Jinnah Trophy tournament and said that sporting events bring nations together. Based on their expertise in different sports, there is a huge potential of cooperation between Pakistan and France. Hundreds of cricket lovers from different parts of France gathered at Dreux to enjoy the match.
