5th August 2019 darkest day in IIOJK history: Uzair Ghazali

Muzaffarabad, July 29, 2021 (PPI-OT): The Chairman of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Uzair Ahmad Ghazali has said that 5th August 2019 is the darkest day in the history of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir when the Modi-led fascist Indian government repealed its special status and imposed military siege in the territory. Uzair Ahmad Ghazali in a statement issued in Muzaffarabad said, the Indian government, attacking the identity of Jammu Kashmir, not only divided it into two union territories but also took their control directly.

He said that India unilaterally violated the promises and commitments made with the people of IIOJK. He added that India ignored the principles and code of conduct of the United Nations and the world community regarding Jammu and Kashmir and imposed draconian laws in the territory which is the worst kind of state terrorism.

He deplored that India had been violating a lot of political, social, human and religious rights of the Kashmiri people for the last 73 years, in general, and for the last two years, in particular. Despite the Indian oppression and brutalities the people dismiss the illegal actions of the Indian government in IIOJK, he added. Uzair Ahmad Ghazali appealed to the people of Kashmir to observe 5th August as a day of protest against India and raise their voice for freedom from Indian subjugation.
