7th GAETEX 2019 exhibition concludes

Lahore, February 27, 2019 (PPI-OT): LCCI President Almas Hyder has said that nothing else can be better than exhibitions to promote businesses and external trade of the country. He was speaking at the closing ceremony of 7th GAETEX 2019 exhibition organized by Gujrat Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Wednesday.

President Gujrat Chamber Amir Nauman, Senior Vice President of Gujrat Chamber Farhan Iqbal, Vice President Tariq Saeed, Chairman GCCI Standing Committee on Exhibitions Haji Irfan Yousaf, LCCI Senior Vice President Khawaja Shahzad Nasir also spoke on the occasion. Shahzad Aslam and Arshad Khan from LCCI Executive Committee, Ibrahim Sheikh, Mian Marghoob and people from different walks of life were present in the ceremony.

Around 200 stalls of different industrial and trade companies from auto parts, furniture, textile, foam, rice, shoe, electrical appliances, engineering, food chains and other sectors were placed in the exhibition. LCCI President Almas Hyder extolled the Gujrat Chamber’s efforts for organizing such an important exhibition.

He said that that all over the world, fairs and exhibitions are considered to be the most effective tool of marketing and reaching out to potential customers. He said that Germany, France and many other countries are making best use of this tool. He said that fairs and exhibitions not only help attract foreign buyers and bring in much needed foreign exchange but also highlights the soft image of the country. He said that exhibitions are also an excellent way to network with the international businesses and grow the export base.

He said that the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry is also organizing exhibitions on regular basis as “exhibition means business for the country” and leading companies of different countries take part in these events. “To grab huge foreign investments, we need to tell the world that large-scale economic changes in Pakistan have crated good opportunities. Macroeconomic stability can increase the competitiveness of Pakistani goods and services”, Almas Hyder added.

The LCCI chief said that prospects of growth are directly dependent on economic freedom and government’s ability to provide favourable and transparent atmosphere for businesses. He said that an atmosphere conducive for businesses will also strengthen private sector and enable it to do more for the cause of economic stability of the country.

President Gujrat Chamber of Commerce and Industry Amir Nauman said that taking part in exhibitions is not just an opportunity to improve the competitiveness of products, it can also make the manufacturer more competitive by optimizing business processes, expanding service range, increasing brand awareness and customer loyalty. SVP GCCI Farhan Iqbal, VP Tariq Saeed and Chairman Standing Committee on Exhibitions Irfan Yousaf in their speeches threw light on the aims and objectives of 7th GAETEX Exhibition.
