LARKANA:Police on Thursday claimed to have gunned down an alleged bandit in an encounter and recovered weapons from his possession late at night in the limits of Badah police station.
SSP Dr Muhammad Imran Khan told newsmen that the killed dacoit has been identified as Arif son of Yousif Khuhawar and as per initial information he was an active criminal and was wanted by Larkana and Karachi police and police of other districts in various heinous criminal cases.
In another action, police arrested Ghous Bux son of Morio Khan Brohi, resident of Sher Khan Brohi village of Garhi Yasin Taluka, SSP said that he was wanted by police in more than 20 criminal cases of kidnapping for ransom, murders, robberies and police encounters by various police stations of Shikarpur district.
He further said that during a search operation on the bordering areas of Larkana-Jacobabad accused Qavi Bosan and Saeed Bosan were also nabbed who are involved in bloodshed of Waris Dino Machi police station in Nazir Bosan murder land dispute case.
