Khokhar concerned over Kashmir and Palestine’s voltile situation

Former Minister of Tourism and Transport Mohammad Tahir Khokhar said on Monday that occupied Kashmir had been turned into a prison where the Kashmiri people were being subjected to brutal oppression.

According to a statement, Mr Khokhar said that the Indian occupying forces were massacring unarmed Kashmiris and were involved in serious human rights violations. “A similar situation is being observed in Palestine, where Zionist forces are oppressing innocent Palestinians,” he informed.

Khokhar further stated that the number of tragedies in Kashmir and Palestine had become difficult to count. “Global powers, including the United States and the United Nations, claim to advocate for peace in the world, but true peace is only possible when Kashmiris and Palestinians are granted freedom and their fundamental rights are restored.”

Khokhar said that despite United Nations resolutions, India’s forced occupation of Kashmir continued, while Zionist atrocities persisted in Palestine. The silence of the United Nations and the international community is evidence that they only safeguard the interests of major powers and refrain from taking practical steps for the oppressed, observed Khokhar.

He emphasized that the world should not believe that the voices of the people of Kashmir and Palestine can be silenced by force.

Khokhar called on the United Nations and the United States to end their double standards and implement their resolutions by granting freedom to the Kashmiri people. He urged the international community to take notice of the atrocities committed by India and Israel and to take practical steps to liberate the occupied territories so that true peace can be established in the world.

He stated that Kashmir is a separate state that India had forcibly occupied. Khokhar says a massive army has been imposed on the helpless unarmed Kashmiris, and they are being killed. Their complete freedom has been taken away.
