Over 6,000 police personnel deployed in Hazara Division to ensure security during Eid-ul-Fitr

The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Police Hazara Division Nasir Mahmoud Satti on Tuesday deployed over 6,000 police personnel to ensure security during the Eid-ul-Fitr in the Division.

These police personnel include operational staff, traffic wardens, elite force, SSU, ladies police, special branch and CTD personnel. The DIG reviewed the security plan of all districts in detail.

Announcing the security plan, the DIG Police Hazara Division directed all the District Police Officers (DPOs) to monitor and ensure the Eid security plan by themselves. He said it is the duty of police to ensure life safety and safe travel to all the people, particularly the visiting tourists.

The DIG also directed the DPOs to ensure safety and security of the Chinese working on the development projects and important places should be made more secure.

He said Hazara Police is always ready to deal with any emergency situation. A traffic plan has also been prepared to make the traffic flow efficient.

The DIG further directed that the DPOs must monitor the Eid security plan in their respective districts and patrolling in the cities’ thickly populated bazaars must be increased with deployment of plain clothes police staff and extra ladies staff.

He said CTD and Special Branch officers and personnel should keep a close watch on suspects and Schedule IV persons. He said traffic staff should adopt the best strategy to maintain traffic flow and should not harass or fine any driver unnecessarily.

However, vehicles coming from other districts should be checked thoroughly and the passengers aboard should be treated with good manners.

The DIG directed that strict legal action should be taken against those engage in aerial firing, fireworks, drifting and one-wheeling on the occasion of ‘Moon Night’ and Eid and they should be arrested.

He said police officers should go to the personnel on duty at police stations, checkpoints and other places on the occasion of Eid, to encourage them.
