Demand for Allocating Budget for Construction of Sindh University Lar Campus Badin

Political, social, academic, literary, and business circles of Badin, along with students, have demanded the allocation of a budget for the construction of Sindh University Lar Campus in the Sindh government’s annual budget.

Several political and social leaders, including Hafiz Nizamani, Professor Dr. Tufail Chandio, and Professor Sharfuddin Talpur, have appealed to the government to allocate funds for this project in the budget to be presented in June.

The leaders stated that thousands of students in Badin district are deprived of higher education after intermediate because there is no university available locally. They mentioned that parents are unable to send their children to Karachi or Hyderabad due to financial constraints.

The circles in Badin expressed concern that even in modern times, there are no higher education institutions in Badin, whereas the government budget amounts to trillions of rupees. They regretted the government’s lack of interest and noted that there are no educational institutions like a medical college, agriculture university, law college, or engineering college in Badin.

These leaders also suggested that along with the construction of Sindh University Lar Campus, it should be upgraded to initiate various departments to provide students with broader opportunities.
