The National Grid Company of Pakistan Limited has confirmed the appointment of Engr. Muhammad Shahid Nazir as its new Managing Director, a decision ratified during the board”s 297th meeting. Engr. Shahid Nazir steps into this role following his tenure as General Manager Project Delivery (North) at the company.
With over three decades of expertise in power transmission, Engr. Shahid Nazir has been pivotal in executing significant projects, including the Matiari-Lahore and Dasu Transmission Line Projects. His academic credentials include degrees in Electrical Power Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and an MBA in Finance from prominent universities in Lahore.
His appointment succeeds the retirement of Engr. Muhammad Waseem Younas, whose term concluded yesterday. Engr. Waseem Younas bid farewell to the company, offering his appreciation and best wishes to colleagues.
Engr. Shahid Nazir will temporarily lead the company until a permanent managing director is appointed. Addressing staff, he conveyed his gratitude to the board and emphasized his commitment to advancing the company”s projects and mission.
