Pasban files petition in High Court regarding large advertising hoardings in public places

A bench of the Sindh High Court, comprising Justice Muhammad Karim Khan Agha and Justice AdnanulKarim Memon, heard a constitutional petition filed by Pasban Democratic Party Chairman Altaf Shakoor regarding large advertising structures on highrise buildings and in public places. The court issued notices to the relevant authorities after hearing arguments presented by Pasban’s legal representative, Khurram Lakhani. The petition highlights the dangers posed by these large displays, especially in light of the storms and heavy rainfall predicted by the Meteorological Department.

The petition claims that despite orders from both the Sindh High Court and the Supreme Court of Pakistan banning these large advertisements, they continue to exist, endangering public wellbeing. Mr. Shakoor insists that the court should hold administrative departments accountable for violating court directives.
